The environments where we live, work, and play can greatly affect our overall wellness. Environmental wellness is about creative a safe, supportive, inclusive and sustainable community that recognizes the impact of personal and social environmental decisions. The Sustainability Program with ASI and others are working hard to put together a few virtual Earth Month activities. Please follow them on Instagram for more fun and informative online events throughout the month @sustaincsusm and @asi.csusm!
Throughout the month of April, we encourage you to look for easy ways to swap out habits for more sustainable ones, such as cancelling unwanted mail or ditching the plastic drink bottle. Download the game board linked above and email firstname.lastname@example.org when you have accomplished 5 tasks in a row to be entered to win a sustainable swag raffle!
What surrounds you each day in your home, work, or neighborhood and the resources available to you can affect your health. You can't always choose what's in the environments you live, work or play in. But taking small steps to make your environments safer and limiting your exposure to potentially harmful substances can help keep you healthier. The National Institutes of Health, a part of the U.S. Department of Health, is the nation's medical research agency and provides resources to protect and improve the health of our society.
