Working from Home on Campus System Password Change

If you have a University issued laptop, you will need to install our global protect VPN software to sync your new password to your system. Please got to gp.csusm.edu to download and install the software. Once it is installed and connected on your system, global protect can keep your university credentials up-to-date on your system. Once you have changed your password with global protect connected, LOCK your system and re login using your new credentials.

Before changing your password, if you do not have global protect installed on your system please follow the instructions below. You will need to be admin or have an admin account to perform this process. Otherwise please contact the helpdesk.

  1. Go to gp.csusm.edu.  Log in with your campus credentials.

  2. If you have a mac system download the Mac 32/64 bit global protect agent.
  3. If you have a PC system download the Windows 64 bit global protect agent.
  4. After installing the application, click on the gp icon in your task tray and click connect.

  5. Enter your username and password.

  6. Once you are connected, please proceed with the normal change your password process.

  7. Once you have successfully changed your password. Lock your system using the “Windows key + L” to lock your system. Re-login to your system using your new campus credentials. Your password will now be updated.
