Building Community at CSUSM

Updated 4/29/2020 1 p.m.

Stay connected Cougars! Staying connected as a community is important at any time; but even more so during times of uncertainty. We encourage you to stay involved and stay together! The community-building resources below are here to offer support, connection, and opportunities to interact and share stories with one another.

Community Centers, Resource Offices, and Student Engagement

  • American Language & Culture Institute (ALCI)

The American Language and Culture Institute (ALCI) of California State University San Marcos has provided quality international education programs for more than 25 years and is globally recognized by language schools, universities, ministries of education, governmental bodies, sponsorship agencies, and top educational organizations. ALCI offers a variety of educational and cultural programs to visiting international students, hosts a TESL/TEFL certificate program for those looking to join the field, serves as a Internship & Service Learning site to our CSUSM students, and sponsors a variety of programming and events to work towards campus and community internationalization.

We remain virtually here to support our ALCI students! We’ve also included some frequently asked questions related to the COVID-19 situation, but also feel free to reach out to your ALCI advisor and a team member will be happy to assist.
