Welcome to Startup Stories: Learning with Experts, an inspiring series of events that bring together accomplished founders to share their remarkable journeys in building successful businesses. Join us for an evening of insightful conversations, where our esteemed speakers will delve into the challenges, triumphs, and pivotal moments that shaped their entrepreneurial paths. This event is designed to empower and enlighten students, offering invaluable lessons that can guide them on their own entrepreneurial journeys.

We are kicking off our Startup Stories: Learning with Experts series this semester with dynamic and inspirational entrepreneur, Vanessa Small PhD, MBA, who is the founder and CEO of Alcheme Bio. Vanessa will share her startup story and discuss how data analysis and statistics play a crucial role in her business and how she and her team leverage data to drive innovation.

For the second event in our Startup Stories:  Learning with Experts series this semester join Meg Ferrigno as she recounts starting her business Moon Pads. Learn about how creating a business can serve people with specific needs while being mindful of the planet. We are so excited to learn from Meg and get inspired to make a change!

Maya Madsen

Join us for our third and final event in the Startup Stories:  Learning with Experts series this semester.  Maya Madsen of Maya's Cookies (right here in North City!) will share her story of starting and building her successful business. Maya's Cookies was voted America's #1 Black-owned gourmet, vegan cookie company in 2022. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the highs and lows of running your own business while being able to ask questions and network.
