Samuel Clarke is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Management in the College of Business Administration. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and BA in Finance from the University of Utah. In addition to pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Sam is involved in the founding and growth of several new ventures in the areas of software, health benefits, and consumer financing.
Dr. De Leone is a staple on campus and has been a Professor of Physics at CSUSM for 19 years. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics at UC Davis and a B.S. in Physics from Santa Clara University. His many accomplishments include acting PI and co-PI on multiple private and federal grants aimed at developing, adapting, and implementing best practices in science curriculum and in supporting institutional change in STEM, including a 1.9 million dollar NSF grant to "increase STEM talent through regional partnerships, recruiting, and retention." His efforts also include founding of the CSUSM STEM Tutoring Center and founding and serving as one of the directors of the CSUSM Center for Research and Engagement in STEM Education. Dr. De Leone is currently the Interim Dean, Office of Graduate Studies and Research.
