Helpful Tips

  • Which class is for YOU? See our grid!
  • CSUSM offers Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Arabic
  • While High School classes don't meet it (unless you took an AP exam), they DO place you into the next class in the series.
  • Prerequisites from HS expire after 2.5 years.
Example: Last language class as a HS Junior? Must take next class by Sophomore Spring.
  • Prerequisites from College do not expire. Take the next class in the series. If you would like to repeat a passed class for your own education, you must do that at another college and the grades and credits will not count.
  • For Spanish, try this self-test of what is covered in 101102, and 201
  • How to: crash, drop, late enroll, waitlist, withdraw, search for a winter class, run your ARR, declare a Spanish major, declare a minor in Spanish, French or German, or run a "what if" report!
