Confidentials & MPPs

Confidential Employee Evaluations

A Confidential Employee (C99) may serve a probationary period of 1 or 2 years, depending on their classification, prior to receiving permanent status.  Thereafter, a Confidential Employee shall receive annual performance evaluations.

Confidential Employees will remain on the normal evaluation schedule in 2019, which runs from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019, and then will be gradually phased into the same review scehdule as Represented Employees over the course of two years.

  • Overall Evaluation Schedule for 2019:
    • Review Period: July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019
    • Forms Due to HR August 16, 2019
  • Overall Evaluation Schedule for 2020:
    • Review Period: July 1, 2019 - March 31, 2020
    • Forms Due to HR Mid May 2020 (Date TBD)
  • Overall Evaluation Schedule for 2021 and Beyond:
    • Review Period: April 1, 2020 - March 31, 2021
    • Forms Due to HR Mid-May 2021 (Date TBD)

Management Personnel Plan (MPP) Employee Evaluations

Performance appraisals of MPP (M80) Employees are intended as a means of measuring and enhancing individual and, in turn, institutional performance, fostering professional development and career growth, aiding in the determination of compensation based upon merit, and meeting internal and external requirements for documentation of individual performance.

MPP employees shall not serve a probationary period and shall not receive permanent status. MPP's shall receive an evaluation after six-months of hire and one after a year of service. MPP's shall be subsequently evaluated on an annual basis. Recent changes have been implemented to adjust the review periods for MPP's. Below are the adjusted review periods and due dates:

  • Overall Evaluation Schedule for 2019:
    • Review Period: July 1, 2018 - April 30, 2019
    • Forms Due to HR June 24, 2019
  • Overall Evaluation Schedule for 2020 and beyond:
    • Review Period: May 1, 2019 - April 30, 2020
    • Forms Due to HR Mid-June (Date TBD)
