This semester, as we continue to transition back to campus, please understand that more information and procedures may become available at a later date. LTWR will formally communicate any policy changes relevant to office hours by email and by updating this page as necessary.
The standard policy for office hours is 1 hour of office time per week per class you are teaching, but the newest policy within the college is that you are not required to hold more than 3 hours of office hours per week per semester even if you are teaching more than three classes (which is an effort towards equity with all faculty). Regardless of where you are requesting your hours, the preferred times should remain between 7:30am-7:30pm.
If you have an on-campus component to your Spring schedule, please designate three preferences for on-campus office hours based on the number of your on-campus sections, per the above policy; you may also add “by appointment” to your schedule.
For the online sections of your Spring schedule, please designate times when you will be available to students and/or indicate “by appointment” as your preferred schedule; you will also be asked to determine where you will hold your office hours (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
If you are requesting on-campus office hours, please know that every measure will be taken to give you your first choice schedule but space is extremely limited. Your understanding and flexibility are greatly appreciated!
