Scholarships

The following scholarships are open to applicants who have already completed a Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Scholarships are funds awarded on a financial need and competitive basis. Awards can be based upon academic achievement, talent, financial need, or other donor interests (such as community of residence, major, career goal, etc.). The Master of Business Administration Office award 5-20 students per year and the awards range from $1,000-$5,000.

Applicants will need to complete one application and submit one essay for each award. To apply for these scholarships, applicants need to complete the scholarship and self-written essay to submit to mba@csusm.eduThe deadline for all materials is May 1st, 2024

Although international students are not eligible for most forms of financial aid, the US Department of State has provided an excellent list of funding sources that may assist students with their efforts to efforts to fund their education. Learn more.

  • Estimated amount to be disbursed per year: $5,000 - $50,000
  • Scholarship amount or range per student: $1,000 - $10,000
  • Number of awards per year: 5 - 20
  • Award Frequency: Every semester – Fall awards go to new students based on their application, and Spring and Summer awards go to the returning students on their performance in the program.

Graduate Assistant

In addition to the available scholarships, the MBA office reserves additional funding to hire current MBA students to fill competitive graduate assistant positions. Under immediate supervision, the Graduate Assistant assists a regular faculty member or the teaching staff with various professional and technical duties associated generally with the subjects or programs in which the assistant is doing graduate work. This program allows students to gain hands-on experience while completing the Specialized MBA program. Students must apply to the position and are subject to an interview for selection.
