Permission Numbers Request Form

This is NOT a student form

Students that need a permission number to add a class should reach out directly to the instructor of the course.

This form is to ONLY be filled out by Academic Coordinators, Faculty, or Department Chairpersons.  Permission numbers will be generated each term at the end of early enrollment unless required for enrollment into class.

Permission numbers will NOT be generated by request unless there is space in the classroom assigned, which means students must have dropped the course or be administratively dropped (see Administrative Drop webpage). Faculty may submit a room change request if a larger classroom is needed, this should be done prior to submitting this permission number request form.

The way permission numbers are generated HAS CHANGED

  • Permission numbers are only generated for consent required class the day before continuing student registration begins.
  • Once continuing student registration appointments are over AND again the day before classes begin, permission numbers are generated for no consent required courses, but only equal to the number of classroom seats minus the class cap. NOTE: During the first week of classes students do not need a permission number to enroll in open classes.
  • After the first week of classes, permission numbers are generated equal to the number of classroom seats minus the enrollment of the class.

Only use this form to request permission numbers for a course. Please see the Schedule Forms page for directions on how to make other schedule changes. The submitter, as listed on the form, will be sent a confirmation email that numbers have been generated and they are then available in the instructor's Faculty Center. 

Again, the form is ONLY for STAFF and FACULTY.
