Graduates on Parade is a unique and special opportunity to celebrate our Class of 2020 graduates on Friday, May 15 at 9 a.m. Employee Please review our FAQs below for important information about participating in the parade.

Frequently Asked Questions


  • What time is the parade?

     The parade begins at 9 a.m. Faculty and staff will be asked to arrive 1 hour before the start of the parade at 8 a.m. to ensure proper traffic flow and to allow time to find a spot along the parade route. 
  • What is the parade route?

    The parade route will begin on Craven Drive from Twin Oaks Valley Road. The exact parade route will be determined based on the number of participants who RSVP. 
  • Can I bring a sign?

    Yes! Volunteers are encouraged to make a homemade sign to hold for graduates as they drive by. Please note that sharing of signs among employees is not allowed. 
  • Can I wear regalia?

    Yes, but it is not required. Due to social distancing measures, there will be limited shade along the parade route. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a hat, sunscreen and water.
  • Will restrooms be available?

    A limited number of restrooms will be available for volunteers. Restrooms will be cleaned frequently throughout the day.
  • How long will the parade last?

    The estimated length of the parade will be determined by participation.
