Timely Warning Policy

Definition: The primary intent of this policy is to provide members of the community with information to aid in preventing them from becoming a victim of crimes posing a serious or ongoing threat to the campus community. Additionally, it is intended to provide faculty, staff, and students with timely information about Clery Act-reportable crimes occurring within defined Clery Act geography of the campus, and to comply with the Timely Warning requirements of the Jeanne Clery Act.  Lastly, the intent of this policy is to provide uniformity in the manner in which CSUSM evaluates and communicates the occurrence of these crimes.
