Strategic planning at CSUSM will create a roadmap toward our future. This is an exciting
and important opportunity to come together as a university community to establish
a new common vision of where we want to go, building on our robust legacy and the
work of so many who have come before us.
The new strategic plan will guide us over the next five years, building on our position
as a regional higher education anchor institution and vehicle of student social mobility,
while ensuring we are well poised for continued growth and innovation in the years
Our guiding principles of diversity, equity and inclusion will be woven through out
the process as well as respect for shared governance. In addition, the process will
be consultative – all members of our campus community are invited to participate and
have their voice and perspective heard.
To support and monitor strategic planning progress, a steering committee comprised
of students, faculty and staff has been formed. Working closely with MGT Consulting,
the committee will assist in steering the strategic planning process.
