About

Quality Understanding and Engagement for Students and Teachers on Computational Thinking (QUEST CT) is a two-year project funded by National Science Foundation (DRL 1543258) to examine how formal school-based activities and informal community-based learning can together provide a rich, STEM-based CT learning experience that supports diverse populations. Twenty-one 5th and 6th grade teachers from four school districts that reflect varying levels of diversity will receive professional development and support over two years. More than 600 students will be involved each year including some who attend informal activities such as Summer Camp, Afterschool Clubs and Family Events designed to support student interest and attitudes. The formal school-based intervention focuses on professional development needs of teachers to prepare them for designing and implementing classroom CT learning experiences through contextually rich STEM-based activities.
