“New to camping? Crunched on time? This trip is the trip for you! Come join us on this popular overnight excursion to the beautiful Anza-Borrego State Park. We will explore mud caves, palm oases, wildflowers and vistas. Anza-Borrego offers spectacular desert views, slot canyons and unique wildlife, not to mention a killer view of the expansive night sky, free of city light pollution. Please prepare for early mornings and late nights. We will be hiking several trails both Saturday and Sunday, as well as taking an hour to sight see and snag photos of the amazing Galleta Meadow Statues. Depending on whether, we may even have time for some hot springs so be sure to pack a swim suit just in case. To conclude the trip, we will be stopping by Julian for some pie as our final treat for the weekend. Students will also learn and apply the basics of outdoor leadership, stewardship, and environmental responsibilities through Leave No Trace principles. This will be an adventure you do not want to miss out on!”
