Welcome to our Fall 2024 Trip Schedule!
Registration for all trips will open on Monday, August 19th 2024. Registration is ONLINE ONLY.
Any current CSUSM student is eligible to sign-up. Unfortunately, we do not allow guests to register if they are not actively enrolled at CSUSM. All trips have a limited number of spots available and fill up quickly, so be sure to register as early as possible. Please review our Frequently Asked Questions page. If you did not see your question answered here, please feel free to email us at: outdooradventures@csusm.edu.
We have trips for every skill level, from novice to expert. The guidelines below will help you select adventures that are right for you. If you’re unsure about your skill level, email us and our staff will help you determine what trips will be easy-challenging.
- Level 1: Great for outdoor novices and those new to active travel who are seeking more knowledge of the outdoor world
- Level 2: Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts looking for stimulating adventure in the great outdoors that will have physical activity involved
- Level 3: Recommended for active travelers with basic skills who meet certain requirements/experience to be able to participate, example: Swimming, endurance hiking, biking riding, etc.
- All sales are final. We are unable to provide refunds unless the trip must be canceled due to inclement weather or other safety concerns. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns before registering for an excursion. Thank you!
- Transportation is Included for all trips. ALL participants are required to meet at Clarke Field House AND return back to campus with us, regardless of their locality to the destination. Thank you for your understanding.
- All overnight trips require a MANDATORY pre-travel meeting. More information will be listed under the trip's webpage.
- All participants are required to have health insurance in order to participate in OA or Campus Recreation activities. Please have your information ready at time of registration. If a participant does NOT have health insurance, the Student Health Care Service provides basic medical care; students can check out their options with Covered California- http://www.coveredca.com. All University programs require student participants to follow standards of the CSUSM Student Code of Conduct in order to ensure a safe, respectful learning environment.
As the Policy states:
“The University is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy living and learning environment for students, faculty, and staff. Each member of the campus community should choose behaviors that contribute toward this end. Students are expected to be good citizens and to engage in responsible behaviors that reflect well upon their university, to be civil to one another and to others in the campus community, and contribute positively to student and university life.”
Failure to abide by these standards could result in becoming ineligible to participate in Outdoor Adventure programs indefinitely.
