Enjoy nine days of life-changing experiences with Outdoor Adventures! Come out and try mountain biking, rafting, zip lining, canyoneering and hiking in the historical National Parks! We are heading to the Grand Canyon National Park and will make our way to Utah for more exciting adventures! This will provide an opportunity to experience many different types of outdoor activities and learn what mother nature is trying to show you. Students will be able to learn about the history and geology of the visited National Parks. Also, students will be able to learn and apply the basics of outdoor leadership, stewardship, and environmental responsibilities through Leave No Trace principles. This trip will be an excellent opportunity to learn about group dynamics, navigation, and cooking.

Student trip member expectations:
Our hope is that each trip member will commit to making a positive contribution to our group of 15. We will travel as one group and share the work as one collective team. Although we strive to cater to the needs of each participant, at times, the trip leaders will need to make decisions based on the needs of the group—not the special needs of one individual. This is a team experience, and everyone will be expected to help with all camping tasks such as setting up and tearing down camp, cooking meals, organizing gear. The CSUSM Outdoor Adventures program is all about promoting a healthy social environment where everyone feels comfortable and is included in the process of becoming a close-knit group. If you are the independent type who would prefer a solitary experience our trip may not be the best match for you.

If you have any questions about this Outdoor Adventure, please email the OA team.
