When:
Friday September 22, 2017 - Sunday September 24th, 2017
Depart from the Clarke Field House Parking lot at 7:00am.
Return to CSUSM at 4:00pm

Pre-travel Meeting:
Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 from 5:30pm - 6:30pm (SBSB 4221)

Cost:
$150 per person

Includes:
Transportation, permits, tents, sleeping bag and pad, and most food

Details: 
Join us on a relaxing trip where we will set camp in Lake Mead National Recreation Area near a dynamic body of water. We will visit the Hoover Dam and learn about the importance of water conservation, land management, and the history of the mighty Colorado River. We will then float for 8 hours down the famous Black Canyon to get a closer look at the river between towering cliff walls. Learn proper paddling technique from our experienced guides in 2-person canoe and kayaks, see remote hot springs seeping from canyon walls, and learn the basics of front country camping.
