"It is very important to keep up with the reading, but even more important to practice
drawing and explaining processes. Also, take advantage of office hours and study sessions!"
- Cheyenne B.
|
“Find a way to make the material meaningful to you on a personal level. This can be
through creative expression in your note taking, working with peers within a study
group, watching videos online, teaching others what you’re learning, or any combination
of these or other techniques. If you can find a way to be passionate and enthusiastic
about the material, you will thrive and be successful.” - Robbie L.
|
"Make sure to do the reading! You cannot do well in this class unless you are actively
reading. If it’s in the text, it’s fair game for exams. Each paragraph in the textbook
should generate something in your notes. Plan ahead and break it down, do a little
everyday, giving yourself a few days before the exam to familiarize yourself with
your notes. As long and they are thorough and organized, there is no such thing as
too many notes! Make sure to understand your notes and not just memorize because test
questions will be application based." - Gabriela J.
|
"Remembering, applying, and reviewing the information from the readings and lectures
will help you consolidate difficult concepts. Practicing these techniques and taking
the time to learn will grant you success!" - Adam V.
