General Information

Does Cal State San Marcos offer the major I want?

Cal State San Marcos offers 33 distinct undergraduate degrees, concentrated into 31 majors within 20 broad fields of study. Our complete list of majors can be found online. Please note we are unable to provide access to the following majors: Business Administration, Criminology & Justice Studies, Child & Adolescent Development, Communication, Nursing, Psychological Science, and Sociology.

Is Housing still available?

Student Housing is currently collecting applications for those students looking to live on campus. Due to limited availability, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

How will I pay for college?

Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid early, as many awards are available on a first come - first served basis.  Remember to include your full name and other pertinent information on your admissions application to ensure we can match your financial aid application to you. Cal State San Marcos offers a variety of financial aid options. Will I have enough time to submit documents for my admissions process?

Cal State San Marcos will review your application and conditionally admit you provided you meet the minimum CSU eligibility. Once your application is submitted, you will receive an admission decision via email.

If I have been admitted, what do I do next?

Congratulations! If you have been admitted to the University, the next thing you need to do is complete the intent to enroll process

When do I need to submit my final transcripts?

Students need to submit their official sealed transcripts to the Office of Admissions by July 15, 2020. Electronic delivery is the preferred method if possible. For more information, please visit the Admisions webpage.
