Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program where people come together across the country to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness. Join the ASI Cougar Pantry and other campus partners in educational and advocacy events!

Events

BREAKFAST BURRITOS

Monday, 11/13 at Markstein Hall | 10-11am

Do NOT miss the most important meal of the day. Stop by Markstein Hall from 10AM - 11AM to get a delicious breakfast burrito to satisfy your morning hunger!

 

BASIC NEEDS RESOURCE FAIR

Tuesday, 11/14 at Forum Plaza | 11:30am - 1:00pm

Join us and SHCS from at 11:30AM -1PM to learn more about basic needs resources on and off-campus partners.

 

BLANKET MAKING 

Tuesday, 11/14 at USU Ballroom | 5:30 pm - 7:30pm


Join us and the USU Live team in the USU Ballroom to make your own blanket from 5:30 pm - 7:30pm (while supplies last). Must donate a canned food item to get a free blanket-making kit!

 

North County San Diego Food Bank Visit 

Friday, 11/17 at North County Food Bank Location in Vista | 1:00 - 4:00pm

We will be taking volunteers from 1 PM to 4 PM to help out at our local food bank to give back to our community. Spaces are limited; sign up by emailing asicab6@csusm.edu .Registration closes on November 10th! 
T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers!
