The CSUSM Center for Children and Families is proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Education to offer the CSUSM CCAMPIS Child Care Access Program (CCAP).
CCAP Helps CSUSM Students Pay for Childcare
Thanks to a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) program, the CSUSM CCAMPIS Child Care program will improve student parents’ holistic wellness by removing child-care anxiety and enhance student parents’ ability to pursue their academic studies and engage with campus programs and developmental opportunities. The program will provide child-care tuition subsidies to student parents based upon financial need and will expand to include new student parents as vacated slots become available at the Center for Children and Families.
Priority
Subsidies will prioritize supporting low-income students using a sliding scale, with student parents whose expected family contribution level would make them eligible for federal Pell grants receiving the most assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
CSUSM students enrolled in six or more academic credits during a particular semester will be eligible for subsidies for child care at the Center for Children and Families.
