CSUSM Cougar Fund Student Organization Competes at International Conference

Cougar Fund Team

The CSUSM Cougar Fund student organization, a student run investment fund of $200,000 in assets under management, recently competed at the Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (GAME) Forum. The GAME forum is the largest student-run financial conference in the world. During this annual event, speakers, sponsors, and students come together for three days to network, discuss key areas of the industry, participate in workshops, and compete in the global student portfolio competition. This year was CSUSM Cougar Fund’s first appearance, where their portfolio was selected for presentation to a panel of industry professionals. In total, over 1,500 participants attended the Forum, with 158 colleges and universities competing.

“Presenting at the GAME Forum X was an incredible experience.  This was The Cougar Fund’s first international competition and virtual conference.  The ability to ask questions and receive feedback from some of the biggest names in asset management was invaluable in planning for our fund’s future. In preparation for our return next year, we will continue to provide stewardship of assets under management through the application of professional investment strategies and sound risk management principles. Thank you to all the students who have participated in The Cougar Fund and congratulations on your celebrated performance and return.”
