Alan has been teaching in the fields of business management and organizational behavior for over 35 years at California State University San Marcos, San Diego State University and the University of Washington. At CSUSM, Alan holds the honorary title of Professor Emeritus and has served as Director of their Senior Experience program during 10 of that program’s first 11 years in operation. He currently engages in business consulting and has provided professional skills training and programs globally for Microsoft, General Electric and others while continuing to teach part-time at CSUSM. Alan has also been responsible for the development and management of several small businesses and other entrepreneurial ventures. He received his MBA (Administrative Theory and Organizational Behavior) from the University of Washington and his Ph.D. (Clinical Psychology) from the University of Kansas.
