2023 Workshops
- Application Workshop, 9:00am - 2:00pm
We're here to help! Having trouble with Cal State Apply? Attend the Application Workshop to work on your Cal State Apply Application and speak to an Admissions Staff. This will be held in a computer lab. It is recommended to make an appointment. The Application Workshop appointment page has a recommended list of items to bring with you to the workshop so that our staff assist you as best they can.
Location: Social & Behavioral Sciences Building (SBSB), 2nd Floor, Room 2101 (Computer Lab).

View the amazing student art around campus and meet Art, Media, and Design (AMD) faculty and students. Guests are welcome to stop by three designated areas on campus to meet faculty members and students who will discuss the art on display as well as share other information about the AMD department and resources.
- CSUSM Housing Tour: University Village Apartments (UVA), every 15 minutes from 10:00am-12:00pm
and 12:30pm-2:00pm
Tours will occur every 15 minutes from 10 a.m.-noon and from 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m.

The CSUSM Housing Tour will be doing property tours (i.e. common areas and amenities only). For Housing tours please go to the community you are interested in touring and check in at the front desk. Tours start at 9 a.m., at your own pace, self-guided.
Meeting location: Kellogg Library, main entrance, 3rd floor
Explore one of the largest and newest libraries in the CSU system (and home to the campus Starbucks)! See where you’ll meet, study, and relax as a CSUSM Cougar.
- Kinesiology Lab Walking Tour, 10am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, and 1:30pm
Tours will only be at the following times: 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m, and 1:30 p.m. Tours will leave on time.
This tour will be led by Dr. Matt Schubert and will require walking from one building to another.
Meeting location: Kellogg Library, main entrance, 3rd floor
Prospective Kinesiology students and families: please come and join us for a tour of our Kinesiology student research laboratories (Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Motor Control, and Surf Research) as well as Kinesiology classroom. This tour will be guided by the Director of the Metabolism and Applied Physiology Laboratory (MAPL), Dr. Matt Schubert, and will allow you to see the unique opportunities and spaces that Kinesiology students have at CSUSM.
Guests will meet Dr. Matt Schubert, in front of the Kellogg Library, main entrance by the "Kinesiology Lab Tours" sign (marked with a star in the map below). You will then walk over to the Exercise Physiology Lab (ACD 113) at Academic Hall,, where you will begin your tour. Dr. Schubert, will then walk with guests to the Motor Control Lab (University Hall - UH 237) and the Biomechanics Lab (University Hall - UH 257). Please note that you will have to walk up sets of stairs to get to the labs at University Hall.

CSUSM is home to 478 student veterans; the highest percentage per capita of any California State University campus. We also serve close to 2,000 military-connected students; which is 12% of our campus population.
The Veteran Services team is comprised of faculty and staff, all military-connected and mostly veterans, serving our student veterans, active duty, and family members in a number of ways. We're dedicated to ensuring the successful transition of our students into meaningful careers.
