Faculty Opportunities

Fall 2023-Spring 2024

The Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) is seeking applicants to submit proposals to collaborate for the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 year. Proposals that include ways to move the Diversity, Equity& Inclusion Inventory or the Campus Strategic Planning value of Inclusive Excellence forward will be priortized. Working as a faculty member with OIE can be in the following ways:

Faculty Fellow (Payment method- course buyout based on course units, typically 3-4)   

Ideally, this experience is for an individual who has an interest in learning and contributing to university-wide Inclusive Excellence goals within the academy. It may involve a combination of research, administration, and policy issues. Appointments typically are for one or two years. 

Faculty Partner (Payment method- Special consultant stipend or professional development transfer)- The amount will range based on the work from $1,200- $2,500.  

Partners enter into a formal agreement between OIE (Office of Inclusive Excellence) and the faculty member who establish a shared focus, responsibility, and management of a specific area of interest. This arrangement is designed to strategically elevate faculty members' work for the benefit of institutional effectiveness and improved outcomes. Typically, the term of a partnership is 1 year. 

Faculty Liaison (Payment method- Special consultant stipend or professional development transfer)- The amount will range based on the work from $500- $1,500.  

Liaisons act as collaborators that connect the work of OIE with various entities across the campus community. Responsibilities can be tailored to opportunities for projects or initiatives specific to priorities identified by the Office of Inclusive Excellence in alignment with the Inclusive Excellence goals and objectives articulated in the campuswide strategic plan.  

Ideal faculty candidates will show an active interest in effectively collaborating with the Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) and cross-functional areas across the campus community. Ideal candidates will also have demonstrated evidence of organizational skills and practitioner skills working with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice models and/or Anti-racist, Anti-colonial models or frameworks.

Eligibility Any tenured or tenure-line (track) faculty, or lecturer (lectures with one- or three- contracts) faculty member are eligible to apply.
