Vista Adult Transition Center

In 1994 George Carlson, the first Director of Facility Services, introduced Sierra Vista High School to California State University San Marcos, and this relationship continues today.

Sierra Vista High School has been renamed and is now called Vista Adult Transition Center. The Vista Adult Transition Center is a Vista Unified School District campus for students with special needs. This high school prepares students for a future beyond public education. Students between ages 18-22 are selected for internships and given the opportunity to develop job skills. The students are supervised by Greg Sommer and Dora Stabinski. As a result of this program, Sierra Vista High School students are able to graduate with experience in a job field.
