Ingo Hentschel

Market Vice President
Cox Communications, LLC 

Ingo HentschelIngo Hentschel is Senior Vice President and Region Manager of Cox Communications in California. He oversees day-to-day operations and employees in San Diego, Orange County, Palos Verdes and Santa Barbara.  

Hentschel has over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the telecommunications industry and the United States military, including leading large, complex operational groups to high performance during competitive and high change periods.  

Prior to being named to his current role in July 2021, Hentschel served as Vice President of Field Service since 2008 where he created a diverse field operations team of technicians, contractors, dispatch and leadership. Hentschel has served in a variety of roles since joining Cox in 1992, including Director of Field Operations, Director of Broadband Operations, and Supervisor of Network Operations. He was also a Field and Network Technician at Times Mirror Cable. 

Hentschel proudly served in the United States Marine Corp from 1985 to 1993 at NAS Pensacola, Florida, MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and MCAS Tustin, Calif. He has a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. and serves on the board of directors for the USS Midway Museum, San Diego Regional Economic Development Council, California Cable and Telecommunications Association, and the California State University San Marcos Foundation. Hentschel also supports FourBlock, a nonprofit that offers career readiness and professional network opportunities for veterans. He served on the Camp Pendleton Armed Services YMCA board (2005-19), the National Armed Services YMCA board (2013-15), and was president of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers’ San Diego Chapter.  

In 2009, the Camp Pendleton Armed Services YMCA honored him with the Civilian Volunteer of the Year award. In 2010, Hentschel was recognized by Cox employees with a company Champion of Cox Culture Award for his integrity, work ethic, and commitment to customers and employees.
