CSBA Golden Bell Award

The Department of History has been well recognized for achievements in teaching, researcbgh, and service both on campus and beyond. In 2011, the Department of History was honored by the California School Boards Association with a Golden Bell Award, which recognizes outstanding programs throughout California. This award recognized our American History in the Schools program, which was a collaborative effort between the San Diego County Office of Education, CSUSM, and the University of San Diego to provide professional development to middle and high-school History teachers. We are committed to building and strengthening a vibrant and inclusive scholarly community for the benefit of our students.
