Overall, TikTok has limited accessibility features and other social media venues are encouraged to be used instead. 


If you must use TikTok however there are things you can do to promote accessibility in your posts:

  • Make sure your TikToks make sense from beginning to end. Storyboard your TikTok story to make sure the story is coherent.
  • Use TikTok's auto captions feature to transcribe a video’s spoken audio into text. Users can add captions during video editing after they’ve uploaded or recorded a video. The text is automatically transcribed and can be edited before it’s displayed on your video. 
  • Look over TikTok's official Accessibility guides.
