Data Fellows

About the Data Fellows Program

Data Fellows is a semester-long professional development program designed to build data literacy, empower data users, and ultimately expand decision support capacity at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). The Data Fellows program is not designed to provide technical or analytic training, but rather serves as an opportunity for staff, faculty, and administrators to gain confidence in interpreting and using data, become more familiar with campus data resources, and explore what it means to be data-informed.

Participants will:

  • Relate their work with data to the university’s shared goal of student success.
  • Improve awareness and understanding of common data sources and definitions.
  • Form more effective research questions, improve data collection, and access existing research.
  • Connect with colleagues to share strategies and discuss key issues around data use.
  • Advocate for and help build a data culture at CSUSM.

The application deadline is Friday, May 31st
