The goal of this grassroots collaborative outreach resource fair is to unite the CSUSM Community, including the University Police Department, local public safety agencies and our surrounding communities in an annual gathering during National Hispanic Heritage Month. In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we will be spotlighting the Lowrider Culture, which traditionally reflects a great part of the Mexican Culture.
With The Lowrider Experience we will strive to foster a culture where our University Police Department and its public safety partners interact with our community in a non-enforcement and inclusive environment. This will help strengthen community relations among students, LAFS, the UPD and other public organizations. Establishing valuable relationships among various organizations can increase our quality of life, which will in turn produce a safer community for generations of community leaders, artists and entrepreneurs, while at the same time bringing awareness and respect for the time - honored cultural tradition of Lowriding.
There is no cost to attend our event. However, food trucks, vendors and a beer garden will be available (21 years and over only - with valid I.D.). The beer garden, food trucks and vendors are NOT hosted.
*Outside alcohol is NOT premitted / Alcohol must be kept inside the designated area.
