Jamison Miller

Brief description of role/ job duties: As the Product Development manager, most of my work revolves around developing new product. This starts with research on new opportunities that fit into our current product lines, building product briefs for industrial designers, and then working with them until we have a designed product ready to hand off to a factory. From there, I work with factories to turn that design into a physical product that can be sold to retail partners. Throughout this process I have the opportunity to travel overseas to find new partners, manage existing development, and oversee ongoing production. To close the process I get to support our sales team by accompanying them as the product expert on retail sales meetings with buyers.

Favorite thing about your job: Working for a smaller company, I have the opportunity to be exposed to and learn many parts of the business. Continuously learning and having a direct impact on a growing business is my favorite part of my job.

Favorite thing about the MKTG department from your CoBA memories: I had the opportunity to meet and work together with some great people, some of whom I still talk to about business strategies within our current roles.

Favorite MKTG class: Sports Marketing. Sports was and continues to be a passion of mine. Learning more about things that I love has always helped me to stay more engaged in the process. There are still many discussions I remember from that class nine years ago.
