Creative Innovation Challenge

CIC

The Creative Innovation Challenge is a new campuswide call for innovative and creative ideas that address campus processes, programming, and services in the interest of advancing the CSUSM Student Success.

Open to all staff, faculty, and administrators, this Initiative provides an opportunity for members of the campus community to share and collaboratively implement ideas in an organizational development experience.

Submissions for this inaugural year are closed. Next steps include the President's Administrative Team reviewing submissions and either advancing them to the Project stage or passing them on to involved departments or colleges to review and implement themselves.

Continue referring to this site for updates on CIC phases, projects chosen, and more.

Initiative Phases

Phase One

Staff, Faculty and Administrators submit ideas that are reviewed by the President's Administrative Team

Phase Two

After review by President's Administrative Team, submissions are either:

  • advanced as ideas for implementation
  • forwarded to departments or colleges that might use the idea
  • set aside (because already in process, policy issues, or not feasible)

Phase Three

Ideas are assessed for feasibility, necessary resources and expected implications by the President’s Administrative Team before being assigned Project Teams.

Project Teams are assigned.

Phase Four

If an idea is found feasible, Project Teams more forward with planning and implementation of ideas.
