Academic Resources

The STEM SC offers tutoring Mondays-Thursdays in-person or virtually, no appointment needed! Check out the STEM SC's hours and supported courses on their website. Also, look out for emails from the STEM SC advertising Exam Workshops and special events. 

The Writing Center can help with your written assignments in any course, both in-person and virtually! Make an appointment in advance to ensure a tutor is available for you. They also offer weekly workshops and topic talks so check out the schedule and see what interests you. 

The ASC supports tutoring in non-stem courses such as ACCT, FIN, ECON, PSYC, HIST, & SPAN. Check out their in-person and virtual schedules and/or their link to NetTutor for off-hours tutoring. The ASC also coordinates Supplemental Instruction, weekly support for traditionally difficult courses. In addition, the center hosts a variety of workshops on college success and course material review.

PASS can help with time management, calendaring, custom success strategies, and more! Make an appointment for an individualized session or attend a workshop for general student success tips. 

Academic Advisors are available to help with questions about what classes to take, how to enroll, meeting graduation requirements, and transferring classes. Make an appointment for an individual consultation about your transcript. 


Looking for a space to study or take your online class? Check out this link to the campus map highlighting specialized study spaces.  

The library can help at any stage of your research projects. Search the CSUSM databases, request sources from other campuses, meet with a librarian for discipline specific advice, and reserve study rooms for group or individual study sessions. 

 

Student Life Resources

Medical professionals and counselors are available to connect with you individually. SHCS also provides many short term, 3-session to 10-session psycho-educational workshops on common presenting concerns such as adjustment, coping skills, stress, anxiety, and depression. There are many resources available so peruse the site and see what works for you!

IITS offers tech assistance, equipment loans, guides to learning virtually, and free access to software for current students.
