Allyship: is not an identity - it is a lifelong process of process of building relationship based on trust, consistency, and accountability with marginalized individuals and/or group of people. Allyship is not self-defined - our work and our efforts must be recognized by the people we seek to all ourselves with.

The Pride Center offers educational workshops and training seminars for classes, campus agencies, student organizations, and departments about a variety of topics including gender, sexuality, identity, and other topics relating to multicultural competence. We design programs specifically for target audiences and may include students who talk about their own experiences.

Personal Mission Statement Training: Finding Your Passion

Are you Ready to Discover, Develop, and Live your Passion?

  • Audience: Can be delivered to student, faculty, staff, or mixed audiences. Training can be tailored to specific audiences.
  • Presenter: Robert Aiello-Hauser

Description: This two-hour workshop takes participants through several activities that look at their interests, strengths, aspirations, and core values; leading them to create an individualized personal mission statement. A personal mission statement is a brief description of what should be the individual's focus, what they want to accomplish, and who they want to become in a particular area of their lives over the next one to three years. It is a way for participants to focus their energy, actions, behaviors, and decisions towards the things that are most important to them. The realization of one's true passion and the power behind that realization can be life changing.

Custom Training

We are also able to develop customized trainings on a variety of topics. Let us know what your learning objectives, and the time you have allotted for the training. We will follow up with a phone or in-person meeting to review an outline of the training. Please allow 3-4 weeks in order for staff to develop training.
