Our Services

Welcome to Student Health & Counseling Services (SHCS), we acknowledge that wellness is essential to academic success. We are committed to recognizing the health needs of our diverse student population and promoting the social, emotional, and physical well being of our students so that they may achieve their academic goals.

At SHCS, we embrace a holistic and collaborative approach to healthcare by offering primary care, preventive services, wellness education, and mental health services to the CSUSM students. SHCS offers quality healthcare provided by a multidisciplinary team of medical and mental health professionals and support staff who are trained to assist students with their health and wellness related needs.

Suicide Prevention Lifeline
If you or someone you care about needs to speak to someone or is in crisis and needs immediate help, call either 911 or 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. open 24/7. Languages: English/Spanish.
After Hours
Students who need to speak to a counselor immediately but it's after hours, please call us at (760) 750-4915 and press 2 to be directly connected with a mental health crisis counselor who is contracted with SHCS 24 hours/7 days a week.
Immunization Clearance
Submit your immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B and/or Meningicoccal Conjugate).

About SHCS

Mission Statement:

Opioid Overdose Treatment
Narcan (Naloxone) is the antidode that reverses opioid overdoses. It is available at SHCS at no charge to students. Students must complete the Narcan Request form and learn how to administer naloxone to pick a box up at SHCS.
