A Letter from the President

Here at Cal State San Marcos, we are firmly committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all members of our campus community, including our visiting community members. As part of that effort, CSUSM became a smoke- and tobacco-free campus in September 2017.

This policy, which was implemented throughout the California State University system, promotes clean air and a healthy environment.

We want you to be aware that there are numerous resources available for students, faculty and staff who need help to quit smoking. You can learn more about those resources on this website.

We are proud to be among the more than 2,000 universities throughout the nation that are smoke- and tobacco-free, and we will remain diligent in our efforts to help our campus community avoid the risks that tobacco use causes to users and non-users alike.

Our campus is built on a culture of care, and we will continue to be proactive about maintaining a healthy learning and working environment for all.

Sincerely,
President Neufeldt Signature
