Move-out Waste Diversion Data

In order to achieve CSUSM's goal of Zero Waste by 2025, the Move-Out Program was created to divert waste away from the landfills when students are moving out of the dorms.

  • Move out donations 2023:
    • 775 lbs of food
    • 8450 lbs of Goodwill items
    • 818 lbs of kitchen re-use items
    • 531 lbs of clothes

    • ~15000 donations went to Goodwill
    • ~1000 items were used for kitchen reuse
