Mandatory Reporting for Employees

This page is designed to provide resources and information about mandatory reporting requirement to all employees. If you are an employee and would like to report a concern, please contact CSUSM’s Title IX Coordinator. In addition to this page, all of the information and resources provided on the main Title IX site may be helpful to an employee who may be experiencing an incident of sexual misconduct. Reporting options and campus policies are available on this site as well.

Unless otherwise noted (please see Exceptions below), any CSUSM Employee who knows or has reason to know of allegations of any form of gender based discrimination, including: Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Harassment, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking or Retaliation has a duty to report this to the Title IX Coordinator. These Employees are required to disclose all information including the names of the Parties, even where the person has requested that his/her name remain confidential. The Title IX Coordinator will determine whether confidentiality is appropriate given the circumstances of each incident.

For more information on confidentiality and employee duty to report, please see CSU Policy Prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking, and Retaliation.

If you have any questions regarding mandatory reporting, confidentiality, or identifying resources for students please contact the Student Equity Specialist at (760) 750-6020.
