Welcome to the Student Travel Webpage!
Please use the information below when travel is university funded and has a university business purpose.
All students are required to follow the CSU Travel Policy and CSUSM Travel Guidelines.

- When is travel considered university business?
Travel will be considered to have a University business purpose if the travel:
- Directly supports a faculty member's project or research program, or
- Is an integral part of the student's degree work, e.g. attend a conference; visit a field site or laboratory facility, or
- Is required for attendance at student‐oriented meetings and the like, or
- Enables the student to attend a conference to present research findings for the University or to act in some other capacity on behalf of the University.
- What forms do I need to fill out?
All students are required to fill out the release of liability and student conduct agreement forms before travel takes place:

- What if my travel is ASI funded?
Contact the ASI office:
- I am a student and am traveling soon. I need assistance paying for my large travel
expenses up front. What can I do?
