In partnership with the Black Student Center, the Department of Civic Engagement will host an in-person Juneteenth Civic Action Party for Racial Justice Celebration. This is Why Juneteenth Is Important to America. CSUSM’s Juneteenth Celebration invites students, staff and faculty to collectively complete racial justice actions on the Civic Action Hub to create a more just and equitable society. Join us for a celebration with Black family cookout music, snacks, games and civic rights leader trivia!

- June 15 &16 | The CSU's Juneteenth Symposium
June 15- 16, 2022 at CSU Dominguez Hills
The California State University (CSU) system will be hosting its inaugural Juneteenth Symposium on June 15-16. This event, held this year at CSU Dominguez Hills, will feature world-class speakers, evocative student performances, thought-provoking panel discussions and interactive breakout sessions meant to inspire connection, innovation and continued pursuit of a just and equitable world.
