Student Org Leadership Academy

SLIC is excited to offer an all inclusive Student Organization Leadership Academy open to ALL CSUSM student org leaders. 

We are aiming to have a modest cohort of 30 student organization officers from at least 15 different student organizations join us for an 8-week curriculum. 

When: Thursdays, 3:30pm - 5:00pm, 2/22 - 4/23 with a week pause during Spring Break & Cesar Chavez Day of Service

  • Learning Outcomes

    After participating in this leadership experience, org leaders will: 

    1. Better understand leadership theories and self-assessments so that they are empowered to lead with confidence. 
    2. Have the opportunity to build a sense of community. 
    3. Create and present a program proposal based off their learning.

    4. New techniques on how to host virtual & in-person events that are engaging and meaningful for your membership
    5. Leadership certificate of completion signed by SLIC director, Tony Pang
  • Application

    Applications are open now and will close as soon as we have 30 qualified applicants who meet the following criteria: 

    1. Officer represents leadership within a currently recognized CSUSM student organization

    2. A max of two officers can apply from any CSUSM recognized org

    3. Officers must be currently enrolled in at least 6 CSUSM semester units

    4. Officers must agree to complete the full 8-week curriculum and attend each session.
