M:POWR Mural Project

Mountain Shadows: Painting Our World Radiantly (M:POWR)

Guidelines for Participants: 

  1. This project counts toward TLC students' civic engagement hours. 
  2. UNESCO certificates can be awarded to TLC graduates who complete 6 or more hours at Mountain Shadows. No exceptions. 
  3. M:POWR student particpants must honor the dress code (see details on the right).

The Mountain Shadows: Painting Our World Radiantly (M:POWR) mural project, started in Spring 2013 and is a partnership between CSUSM's TLC program, Mountain Shadows Outreach Programs, San Marcos Arts Council, Art Miles Mural Project, and the United Nations Education Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). 

Thanks to our sponsor, Dr. Joanne Twafilis, students may attend any combination of times to earn their 6 hour minimum and thereby a UNESCO certificate!
