Summer Study Abroad Program

The Summer Study Abroad in Spain for Teachers of Spanish Program is designed for bilingual teachers, teacher candidates, and senior college students planning to enhance Spanish skills for teaching. An advanced level of Spanish is required to participate in the program. We partner with University of Valladolid in Spain.

  • Arrival Date: Saturday, Jun. 28, 2025
  • Course Dates: Monday, Jun. 30 - Friday, Jul. 11
  • Departure Date: Saturday, Jul. 12

$2,100 Program Fees Include:

  • University fees, health insurance, student ID card
  • Morning: instruction; Afternoon: cultural events
  • Excursions: Segovia, Castillo Peñafiel - Ruta del Vino
  • Guided visits to local museums & city tour
  • International Cooking School experience
  • Private homestay with all meals included
  • Time to explore Valladolid’s culture, art, music, & food
  • Certificate ceremony & tapas last day of classes
  • CSUSM faculty lead in Valladolid during your visit

NOTE: Fees do NOT include airfare, ground transportation or personal expenses. Travelers make their own travel arrangements. Valid passport required; COVID-19 vaccination recommended.
