Anti-racism and Black Lives Matter are current social issues that are drawing attention and support for diversity, inclusion, and action across our nation. This is the time to get involved!

The Emerging Leaders program prepares candidates to be transformational leaders with a focus on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. There is a high demand for diverse, socially-just leaders at all district levels in San Diego County.

In Spring 2021, engage in 9 days of Equitable Schools Training through the Center for Culturally Proficient Practice. This grant-funded program will provide 5 units of “contract credit,”  CSUSM graduate level coursework leading to an MA in Educational Administration and a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC).

Who Is The Program For?

  • Candidates with four years of experience in teaching, pupil personnel work, librarianship, health services, clinical or rehabilitative services (CA state requirements).
  • Candidates who want to move into leadership roles and are looking for a model of success.
  • This program is limited to 25 students.

Program Dates & Times

  • Spring 2021: May 13-15, June 10-12, and July 21-23
  • Weekdays 3-6pm, Saturdays 9am-1pm
  • Additional assignments, mentoring, and experiential community learning are expected to fulfill the hours for course credit

Equivalent CSUSM Course Credit

Earn 5 units towards an MA in Educational Administration!
