VPA majors Lance McCormick and Lauren Radel created this video composite animation mixing video, still images, and hand drawn elements. The concept of this project is to raise awareness about the viewer's role in a technologically advanced world. Inspired by the books 1984, Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451. SomaSleep won awards for Best Animation and Juror's Choice in the 2011 Student Media Film Festival at CSUSM.
VPA majors Michael Colasardo, Jermaine Jackson, and Kai Norwood collaborated to make a short film about love, "Eros". This film won the awards for Best Cinematography and Audience Choice in the 2011 Student Media Film Festival at CSUSM.
