WELCOME! Students Talking About Relationships & Sex (S.T.A.R.S.) is a sex-positive peer education prevention program that utilizes interactive theater and dialogue to transform individual behaviors and create positive social change. STARS educates students on sexual assault, relationship abuse and bystander intervention, and empowers peer educators to become advocates for a safe, healthy, and inclusive CSUSM community.
STARS works with a cohort of 12-15 students who volunteer their time to make a difference on campus. STARS peer educators may also enroll in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies 300-7 to receive course credit for their work. These STARS educate their peers in classrooms and at special events.
