  • Who do I contact if I need assistance?

    Troubleshooting wireless issues can be quite difficult as there are many factors that could be causing the problem. There are however, a few quick troubleshooting steps that can be followed to rule out some common problems. On the left there will be links to instructions on how to reset your wireless connection and how to update your drivers. An out of date wireless card driver is the most common cause of wireless issues so trying that should be the first step.

  • Do I need any software to use the wireless network?

    You will only need the drivers that come with your wireless card. Please make sure you have the latest available drivers for your network card installed.
  • What operating systems does the wireless support?

    The CSUSM wireless network currently supports Windows 7, 8, and 10 as well as Macintosh OS 10. Other operating systems, such as Linux or Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP, may work with the wireless network, but they are not supported by the university.
  • What do I do if I'm experiencing slow wireless speed?

    First, try disabling your wireless connection then re-enabling it.  If that doesn't work make sure your wireless drivers are up to date.
