Resources for Pregnant and Parenting Students

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in all educational programs or activities. This includes prohibiting discrimination against pregnant and parenting students.

The Tukwut parents program aims to support and advocate on behalf of parenting students at CSUSM.

Lactation Room for Nursing Mothers:

The Gender Equity Center has a private lactation room available for all mothers to pump or nurse during the day. They also have a refrigerator to safely store pumped milk until it is time to go home. The lactation room is available for use by students, staff, and faculty. Employees may contact the Gender Equity Center at (760) 750-4988 to reserve a specific time.
